Right when I met Alan Cortez, I knew we’d be best friends. This little guy made my life be what is now. He doesn’t say much because he was born February 8, 2011, but I believe his smile speaks more for then his words can. Even though I knew he was going to make my family a bit bigger, he was still a big part of my life. This little person was made of two, my mom and dad. At first I thought, “is my mom for real?” and she was this little bundle of joy was real, and now my best friend. As he was born new things were born little birds came out of their shells and maybe at that moment something new was discovered, who knows? But I know what a great person Alan is and will be. This is what makes this little person a beautiful person in my life because of his smile is my sunshine and the things he will someday do when he isn’t a baby anymore.
